Privacy policy

BookStages (“BookStages”, “we”, “us”) operates bookstages.ai and the Stage Agent application at app.bookstages.ai. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. BookStages is a Masters in Clarity company.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a pilot spot we collect your name, email address and phone number. If you become a user, we also collect the intake information you provide about your speaking work — your topics, target audiences, formats, travel range, biography, past engagements and any materials you upload.

Information about your use of the service. Which opportunities you approve or decline, pitches you send or edit, and how conversations progress on your pipeline board. We use this to improve match quality on your account.

Technical information. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring links, collected through cookies and similar technologies. See our cookie notice.

Information about third parties. Stage Agent identifies publicly listed contacts at conferences, podcasts, associations and summits — for example a named program chair and their business email. We collect this from public sources for the purpose of professional outreach.

How we use it

• To set up and run your account, including building your weekly queue and drafting outreach.
• To contact you about your pilot, your account, and product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time; we will still send messages necessary to operate your account.
• To improve the product, including reviewing feedback you submit and aggregate patterns in match quality.
• To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not publish a testimonial or your name without your permission.

Who we share it with

We share personal information with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract — hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, customer support, and AI model providers used to draft pitches and score matches. We may also disclose information where required by law or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Outreach you send goes to the recipient you choose, from your own name.

How long we keep it

We keep account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. Pilot applications that do not become accounts are kept for up to 24 months. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to stop using it for marketing. Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and the EU/UK — you may have additional rights, such as the right to opt out of targeted advertising or to appeal a decision about your request. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email dh@mastersinclarity.com. We respond within 45 days. If you are a listed contact and would prefer not to be included in our opportunity data, write to the same address and we will remove you.

Security, transfers and children

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, but no service can guarantee absolute security. We are based in the United States and process information there; if you are outside the US, your information will be transferred to the US. The service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
